Thin and transparent anti-fingerprint protection
In many consumer applications reducing fingerprint and sebum stain helps to offer a differentiated product. The aim could be as various as maintain a clean aspect longer, increase visibility for finger scanning, improve the slide experience or reduce maintenance operation.
Developed after the fluorine technology, OPTOOL forms a hydrophobic and oleophobic layer. Not only fingerprints are less visible, but they are also easier to swipe. OPTOOL Series advances interesting optical properties as the protection layer does not modify the light transmittance of glass.
How is OPTOOL anti-fingerprint solution working?
Fingerprint fouling occurs when touching a surface leaves behind a residue of sebum from the skin. The treated surface retains less sebum from the fingertip as it forms a durable bond to glass surfaces compared to the non-treated surface. This property is particularly active on glass and surfaces coated with SiO.
