Recovery and Recycling Activity of Fluoropolymers

Daikin has established “The Group Basic Environmental Policy” to promote Environmental consideration and response, targeting the effective use of resources.
In the case of Chemicals Division, Daikin Compounding Italy S.p.A. is involved in the fluoroplastic recovery and recycling business.

Currently, regardless of whether made in-house products or not, Daikin Compounding Italy collects cutting debris from the production process of fluoroplastic (PTFE, PFA, FEP) and super engineering plastic (PEEK). These waste materials are turned into usable products by means of in-house processes such as washing, mixing and re-pelletizing. The remanufactured materials are used in a variety of industrial applications such as gaskets, sealing elements and semi-finished materials for tubes and pipes.
