Green Heart Factory Initiatives

Daikin Industries, Ltd. was certified as an Eco-First company in 2008 under the Eco-First Program promoted by Japan's Ministry of the Environment.
Since 2005, Daikin has used ‘Green Heart Factory (GHF)’ as our in-house standard for evaluating and certifying our business sites' environmental and social performance. Each business site is certified using a four stage system of platinum, golds, silver and bronze.
We review the GHF certification assessment criteria every 5 years. In 2021, we updated the assessment criteria to include 'Efforts to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Waste and Water Consumption' and 'Achievement of Sustinable Development Goals'.
Our global business sites are also actively engaged in these activities and, in the 2022 midterm evaluation, Daikin Fluorochemicals (China) Co., Ltd. was recognized as one of only two gold-ranked companies in the Daikin Group.
