Green Procurement Initiatives
Environmental conservation is one of Daikin Group’s top priorities. We are promote environmental awareness and sustainability to our business partners though “Green Procurement Guidelines.”
Green Procurement consists of preferring the procurement of materials and goods that have as little impact on the environment as possible, and choosing suppliers that excel in environmental initiatives, such as obtaining environmental management system ISO14001 and third-party environmental certifications.
The Chemicals Division is also promoting this initiative globally using the Daikin Group’s “Green Procurement Guidelines”. Our division aims to have a positive impact on the environment throughout our entire supply chain by annual surveying our suppliers’ environmental sustainability practices and working together to improve those practices where possible. As a result of these continuous efforts, our suppliers’ Green Procurement scores have been steadily increasing year over year.
