Refrigerant Recovery and Reclamation Initiatives
Daikin is the only comprehensive air conditioner manufacturer that develops refrigerants, manufactures air conditioners, and handles the entire process of refrigerant manufacturing, recovery, reclamation and destruction of not re-usable refrigerants.
In addition to promoting lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants throughout the world, Daikin is committed to reducing environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle by strictly managing refrigerants during production and after sales, and recovering, reclaiming or destroying refrigerants after use.
The Chemicals Division, which develops, manufactures and sells refrigerants, operates refrigerant recovery and reclamation initiatives in both Japan and Europe. At our Yodogawa Plant in Japan and Daikin Refrigerants Frankfurt GmbH in Germany, we possess sophisticated recycling facilities where recovered refrigerants are separated into components and then reconditioned at the plants to restore them to new product quality.
